Oliver Sundqvist (b. 1991) is a Copenhagen-based artist working within the field of sculpture and installation. Sundqvist expands on the notion of function and works to stretch materials, form, and concepts into new modes of expression. With a playful, and often humorous approach, he seeks to question and explore the social and psychological effects of consumerism and pop culture.
Sundqvist has exhibited throughout Europe and the US, both as a solo artist and in the context of his ongoing collaboration with fellow artist Frederik Nystrup-Larsen. Previous exhibitions and projects include Colossal Youth at V1 Gallery, Copenhagen (2021), The Perception of Narcissus at Eighteen Gallery, Copenhagen (2020) and Off-License - Cash Only at Møntergade 3C, Copenhagen (2019). He has also collaborated with several organisations, including Roskilde Music Festival, and Noma restaurant.
Sundqvist holds an MA from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design (MA Furniture).
